Showcasing world-class ports for Solent Stevedores

We kicked the project off with an in-person recce. We checked out everything Solent Stevedores do across one of their main sites, familiarised ourselves with the health and safety policies, and started planning the shoot. Then, we planned out the storyboards, got them approved, and put a date in the diary for a two-day shoot, all while continuing to maintain proper social distancing (in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic).

We shot our footage in Apple ProRes, both on our Blackmagic ground camera and our Zenmuse X7-fitted Inspire 2 drone. A perfect format for making top-quality colour corrections and technical fixes. We also used a couple of FPV drones for this project: the iFlight Bumblebee and the iFlight DC5, both fitted with a GoPro Hero 8.

The feedback to our three videos was overwhelmingly kind, with Solent Stevedores stakeholders saying things like: “this gave me goosebumps,” “visually stunning work,” and “you’ve exceeded our expectations.”
