A Tour of Spitbank Fort and No Man’s Fort

In 2018, we paid a visit to two of the luxury Solent Forts hotels: Spitbank Fort and No Man’s Fort. We captured some incredible footage during the trip, and were amazed by how these truly one-of-a-kind venues are facilitating corporate events, weddings, parties, romantic getaways, and day trips.

The forts were built to defend Portsmouth against French invasion, but never fired in anger. There are three Solent Forts located out in the Solent between the mainland of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight: Spitbank, No Man’s, and Horse Sand.

Between the forts, you’ll find a labyrinth of bedroom suites, countless function rooms, bars and cellars, lighthouses, hot tubs, saunas, spas, fire pits, and… a laser battle arena!
