Plantitecture: aerial video for ‘living walls’ in Manchester

We headed to Stockport, just outside Manchester, bound for The Mailbox — a building comprised of serviced apartments and commercial office space, named for its previous life as a postal sorting office up until its closure in 2010. We met Nigel, the CEO of Rise Homes, who own and run the building.

We shot using our sub-250g Mavic Mini 2, in accordance with UK drone laws which require pilots to fly with smaller, lighter drones in congested urban areas. We also captured some ground stills of the living walls, using ND filters to even out exposure on one of the hottest, brightest days of the year.

ANS Global featured our aerial footage in the header showcase on the homepage of their website, and kept it in place as part of their rebrand to ‘Viritopia’.
