London College of Fashion - FPV flythrough for Portview
Every floor of a 15-storey fashion campus, flown by FPV drone and cut into one continuous 7 minute 44 second film.
Pre-Production
Floor-by-floor route planning so each FPV flight would join cleanly in the edit. Site access and induction arranged with Portview. Flying externally in this location involved liaising with multiple stakeholders.
Production
FPV interior flights on every floor of the entire building, plus standard drone establishing shots outside.
Post-Production
Floor-by-floor flights edited into one continuous 7 minute 44 second film, with shorter cuts for social media and presentations.
London College of Fashion, part of University of the Arts London (UAL), has a new home at Stratford Waterfront. It brings six separate sites together for the first time in the college's 120-year history. Allies and Morrison designed the 15-storey building for UAL and the London Legacy Development Corporation. It achieved BREEAM Outstanding and was shortlisted for the 2025 RIBA Stirling Prize.
Portview delivered the £24m interior fit-out, including partitions, ceilings, floors, architectural metalwork, maple joinery and a 350-seat tiered lecture theatre. They wanted a film that showed the whole job, not just a few hero rooms.
