Stanhope House topping out: event and construction photography

Stanhope House was constructed for Crosslane Student Developments, located on the corner of Commercial Road just opposite Portsmouth & Southsea station. This new development was one of the tallest buildings in the city, and only a short walk from the main campus of the University of Portsmouth.

The ceremony was conducted by David Fuller, the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth at the time. We captured event photography of the ceremony itself alongside aerial drone photography, including 360° 'tiny planet' shots! Giving unparalleled context to the construction site and the occasion.

Drone photography is perfect for documenting, surveying, and marketing construction projects (one shoot, multiple uses). Using drones for property inspections and roof surveys is easier, safer, and more cost-effective than scaffolding. We love the way our city changes with time, and it’s always a joy to record its evolution!
