Documenting DHL’s heavy-lift work across three ports and five nations
Pre-Production
Working alongside local suppliers at each port ensured we maintained the highest safety standards while capturing comprehensive, captivating footage of these complex operations. We partnered with local teams at Immingham, Rotterdam, and Pembroke ports for safe and efficient capture. Before this project, we'd already completed two projects with DHL at the Port of Southampton, so we had a strong working relationship in place!
Production
From witnessing the precision of Rotterdam's massive crane operations, to capturing the scale of heavy-lift logistics at Immingham, every location presented unique filming opportunities and challenges. The operation featured specialised equipment, including a RoRo barge supplied by Robert Wynn & Sons, and a Liebherr LR-1700 crane for the 326-ton generator’s installation. After this project, we also went on to work remotely with DHL producing content involving Brazil and Singapore.
Post-Production
Our in-house post-production team handled video editing, colour grading, audio design, motion graphics (animated maps, data visualisations, location identifiers), and professional photo editing. The final video and imagery have been used extensively by DHL Industrial Projects across their LinkedIn and marketing channels.
