B-roll drone video for Ozweld International

We met the Ozweld crew and saw the structure (a steel-framed orangery) for the first time. "It's being dismantled and sent off to the client who commissioned it in America tomorrow," we were told. So we set about storyboarding then and there. A minute-long promotional video capturing Ozweld's production timeline evolved naturally.

We fired up the DJI Spark and took flight in Sports Mode, enabling complete manual control. This is key when flying within or near steel structures, as metal can interfere with drone sensors and signals. Having storyboarded in the same place we were shooting, we had a clear vision of how certain in-camera movements would strengthen transitions during editing, making them feel natural rather than forced.

The result was beautiful B-roll footage with stylish organic transitions showcasing every step of the process from the first phone call to the finishing touches. The ground footage looked incredible, but the aerial 'big finish' reveal really did justice to the project. The Ozweld team were impressed with the visuals we could show them on the day, and even more pleased with the final video.
